Nicolas Henri (born 1977 in Zurich, Switzerland) came to photography after graduating 3 years of film school in Toronto, Canada. Photography turned out to be the medium best suited to express his visual ideas and narrative concepts. His additional expertise in directing and post production (his two majors in film school), which he brings to his photographic projects combined with a unique and recognizable visual style are what set him apart from many other shooters out there.
Before he started his career as a professional photographer, he gained several years of experience working as a picture editor for the promotion department of a Swiss TV station. As a result the development as well as execution of creative concepts and visual communication strategies are yet another set of abilities he brings to commercial projects.
Nicolas Henri regularly takes time out of his schedule to shoot personal projects and further develop his unique style. Many of these images find their way into exhibitions, turn up as winners/finalists of awards or find publication in photography and design magazines.
